“Thanksmas” Fundraiser for Red Nose Day Announced

Seán William McLoughlin, better known as Jacksepticeye, is an Irish YouTuber, best known for his vlogs and comedic Let’s Play series. As of November 2020, his channel had over 13 billion views and 25.7 million subscribers, and is the most-subscribed Irish channel. He was recently set to drop his annual Thanksmas fundraiser.

It is an event that will be held on December 13th and will feature the popular game Among Us. It aims to beat the previous record set by the streamer earlier this year who raised over $660k. The said event will raise money for Red Nose Day. He notes that the charity had an initiative for food shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic and that this struck a particular chord. Jack stated that the term Thanksmas was because of particular streams that occur around Christmas time, when everybody is in a helping and giving mood,

Jack told the Hollywood reporter; “We’ve been doing charity streams for a while, and we’ve been trying to do a big one at the end of every year for Christmas to round out the year with a bang,”. Also he claimed that he chose the game Among Us because it is the biggest game of the year and works really well in collaborating efforts.
