T-Pain’s Thoughts Regarding Apex Legends

Despite Apex Legends’ meteoric rise to fame in Season 10, rapper-turned-streamer T-Pain recently shared his thoughts and complained that the game is too sweaty, implying that only the best players, content creators, and streamers are having a good time.

High-profile streamers like DrDisrespect and NICKMERCS made the switch to Respawn Entertainment’s futuristic take on battle royale following ongoing issues with Warzone, such as hacking and balancing issues.

With so many big streamers returning to Apex, the game has seen a resurgence in popularity, both in terms of players and viewers on Twitch and YouTube. Has it, however, had a negative impact?

Rapper T-Pain believes that there are now too many “sweaty” players in the game, making it less enjoyable for casual players. T-Pain is one of Apex’s many celebrity fans, which also includes Bryson Tiller and Soulja Boy.

Apex Legends takes a different approach to the gritty flavor of Warzone, focusing on momentum and traversal. The alternative to Activision’s battle royal has become a surefire competitive hit, boasting slick movement and faster approaches to gunfights.

For newcomers, the shift in gameplay can be disorienting, especially as the skill ceiling rises. T-Pain has stated that the sweaty opponents in Apex Legends are making the game less enjoyable for him.

He described Apex as a sauna sitting outside in the middle of Arizona because it’s so sweaty and believes that more casual players will “not have a good time playing that game,” mentioning NICKMERCS and nodding to his prowess in the game.

T-Pain also expressed his dissatisfaction with Titanfall 2 – Respawn’s previous game before Apex – which has been largely rendered unplayable due to hackers. One supporter said that because all these big streamers and pro players make it sweaty,” to the rapper’s rallying cry.

T-Pain may not be interested in Apex Legends, but who knows, maybe we’ll get to see a TF2 stream in the future.
