Suspension of Advertising on Amouranth’s Channel

One of the most popular hot tub streamers on Twitch Kaitlyn Siragusa aka Amouranth can no longer make money off ads on her channel as she reveals that Twitch completely suspended advertising on her channel. Hot tub meta on twitch still continues to become more controversial but it also still dominates and creates headlines on social media. Now, Amouranth has posted a series of tweets on May 18th on her twitter account warning her fellow hot tub content creators that their ability to earn off advertisements may get suspended just like what happened to her.

Amouranth claimed that the platform has bever informed her about the situation and she has to be the one who reached out and brought it up after contacting them. She wrote; “Twitch didn’t reach out in any way whatsoever. I had to initiate the conversation after noticing, without any prior warning, all the ads revenue had disappeared from my Channel Analytics”. In her second tweet, she went on to warn her fellow hot tub streamers that they could suffer a similar fate as hers.

According to Amouranth, Twitch further informed her that the ads on her channel were indefinitely suspended as the platform deemed her content “not advertiser-friendly.” Amouranth also stated that she wasn’t sure and it is still unclear on when her account can be reinstated. As it currently stands, Amouranth’s Twitch account has been stripped of its monetary advertising abilities and it seems it may very well stay that way. So far, Twitch has yet to comment on the issue and it’s unclear if other streamers have also been affected but hot tub streamer xoAeriel claimed that her channel hasn’t been demonetized.
