Summit1g Breaks World Record Time of Max Payne 3

Popular Twitch streamer Jaryd Lazar aka Summit1g left shocked and in tears after he set a new speed run world record in Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 by a margin of fewer than seven seconds.

Twitch streamer Summit1g has started his streaming career on the platform back in the year 2011. Since then, he has managed to gain a massive following on his channel and become a household name on Twitch as one of the most well-known figures in the gaming community. He has now gained over 6 million followers on his twitch channel where he plays a variety of games such as GTA RP, Escape From Tarkov, and more. Now, during his most recent live broadcast, Summit1g tries out the game Max Payne 3 speedrun and there he manages to pull off the unthinkable and break the world record speedrun for the game, leaving him and his viewers completely shocked.

During the stream, Summit was attempting the “Any % Glitchless + Cutscene Skip” speedrun category on hardcore difficulty. After completing his most recent run the streamer was shocked to discover that he’d taken the top spot, beating out the former record time by six seconds. At first, Summit questioned if he had completed his run correctly and stopped the timer at the correct moment, but after some confirmation from chat, it stated that he’d broken the record, and he looked visibly emotional and shocked. He stated; “What’s the world record? We didn’t get I don’t think boys… it’s 1:30:58? No, no, no f***ing way”.

Summit1g took some time off the stream and when he returned, he shared that this was the very first speedrun he would ever submit. He was so overwhelmed about the achievement it moved him to tears, showing exactly how much it meant to him. He said; “Listen, this is a big thing for me. I’m not used to winning shit, I don’t win anything in life you know, the stream thing being my first win ever. Fuck man, it’s just a cool feeling to at least have the world record at one point in time.”

Summit wasn’t confident that his record would stand for long and said that he expects its former owner ThirstyHyena to beat his record in time. Even so, the streamer was more than ecstatic with his victory.
