Streamers xQc And Adept Clash On Stream

Twitch streamers and former couple xQc and Adept sparred live in front of more than 100,000 concurrent viewers after splitting up.

The inconsistent display came after a heated fight between the two during which there was no clear winner. This left both viewers and other creators disturbed and alarmed.

On September 15th, xQc claimed he skipped QTCinderella’s event, Shit Camp, since he recently broke up with Adept, his girlfriend of four years. The streamer claimed that he ultimately picked his family over his partner because of their irreconcilable differences. Despite acknowledging responsibility for disclosing the separation, xQc claimed he could no longer take the criticism for skipping Shit Camp. Adept said that xQc made the decision to skip the event prior to their split and had previously sparked criticism from viewers before their relationship came to an end in a different broadcast.

Additionally, Adept berated the French-Canadian streamer for keeping their separation a secret despite her wishes to do so and cited harsh comments allegedly coming from xQc’s large community.

The breakup came to a head on September 16 when both entered a call on xQc’s channel. The broadcasters had been arguing back and forth on their own individual streams about the circumstance. While Adept continued to take issue with her ex-partner for both exposing their breakdown and his apparent framing of the conflict, xQc continued to accept responsibility for the breakup and subsequent disputes with other streamers. The discussion between the two streams only became worse, and at one point xQc even started playing Kendrick Lamar’s We Cry Together. According to Streams Charts, the streamed battle peaked with almost 127,000 concurrent views on Twitch and other social media. The argument between xQc and Adept soon took over social media during and after the stream itself.

QTCinderella criticized the entire broadcasted altercations in a since-deleted Tweet, calling them a heinous abuse of xQc’s enormous platform. Hasan Piker encouraged the stream to stop posting and “go to sleep” in response to one of xQc’s stream-following Tweets. Other creators were perplexed by the heated controversy that virtually dominated social media. The arguably most polarizing and chaotic streams on xQc are still having an impact on the greater streaming community. Many people are interested in what either streamer would do next.

The nearly three-hour phone conversation between the two produced little nothing, and both parties have kept spreading their respective versions of events. Even when everything is said and done, this continuous war can get a new chapter.
