Streamer Sodapoppin Slams NFTs

Twitch streamer Chance Morris aka Sodapoppin is one of the most popular streamers on the planet. His streams are noted for being entertaining, enthusiastic, and accurate.

The streamer recently shared his thoughts on the current blockchain trend of ‘Non-Fungible Tokens.’ For months, NFTs have been the buzz of the town. In layman’s terms, it’s a digital asset that allows you to claim ownership of a piece of digital art by registering it on the blockchain in your name. While anyone can look at and even screenshot the art that you own, you are the one who pays for it and has it registered in your name on the blockchain ledger. NFTs are all about this.

Non-Fungible Tokens, on the other hand, are priced in a ‘ridiculous’ manner for Sodapoppin, and some people who promote it online have made it their entire identity.

On his December 24 stream, Sodapoppin addressed the issue while playing the game Dead by Daylight. Here’s what he had to say: “Dude, I keep getting followed by f**king people who are verified on Twitter, and I’m like ‘Oh, who is it?,’ and I look at it, ‘NFT connoisseur, talk to me about Bitcoin!’ Like, that’s it?”

He wasn’t completely ignoring the notion that NFTs had the potential to make a lot of money for their owners. “I mean, I get it, it actually makes a lot of people a lot of money. But, holy f**k, it’s become people’s personality at this point.”

In some ways, Sodapoppin is correct, as the crypto and NFT craze is growing at an exponential rate. Influencers, athletes, celebrities, and members of the general public all want a piece of the action, and they’re all jumping on board.
