Streamer Ludwig Goes Live On Twitch

Ludwig Ahgren, a well-known YouTube streamer and content creator, is one of the platform’s top streamers. In contrast to today, when he unintentionally went live on a buddy and fellow streamer’s Twitch channel, he is at least meant to be, and he immediately worried that he had broken his exclusive streaming agreement with YouTube.

Ludwig was among the first wave of broadcasters to leave Twitch and accept an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube just months after his 30-day long subathon, which both popularized the concept and saw him become Twitch’s most-subscribed-to streamer.

Ludwig cannot stream from his Twitch account for the duration of his contract due to the exclusivity of his agreement.

Ludwig noticed he was streaming on a friend’s Twitch account as he was loading up his stream, which caused him some momentary uncertainty, panic, and even amusement. ConnorEatsPants, a fellow streamer, briefly went live from Ludwig’s broadcast setup the evening before his stream on October 7. Ludwig’s broadcasting software most likely contained ConnorEatsPants’ stream key, and Ludwig did not check it before clicking the “go live” button. Chatters from ConnorEatsPants’ stream sought to inform the streamer that he was broadcasting from the wrong account after becoming visibly perplexed at the delayed roll-in of viewers. The streamer quickly checked Twitch to see himself live on Connor’s channel as he started to realize his error. The streamer’s exclusive contract immediately caused him to worry.

The streamer slammed his desk and yelled; “Oh, no! Fuck. Connor! Connor! I’m going to lose my fucking contract!”

After only one minute and 30 seconds of live streaming on Twitch, the streamer abruptly ended the session. Ludwig accidently started his stream on Twitch again in December, so it’s not the first time he’s done so after leaving the service. The brief incident is probably not going to lose Ludwig his YouTube contract, but it will go down as one of his most regrettable on-stream missteps.
