Sodapoppin’s Thoughts about Andrew Tate Meta

One True King (OTK) announced the addition of Sodapoppin as its newest co-owner in one of the least shocking decisions in the market of esports organizations.

His amusing unveiling video usually gets a lot of attention, but the Twitch star wasn’t as happy with the response.

Soda discussed the Twitch news cycle and the “meta” that influences content creators’ methods with Asmongold on his stream yesterday. The discussion of Andrew Tate by streamers has increased platform viewership over the past week. Tate debated xQc on stream because of his extensive online reputation for holding various divisive views on women. Since then, he has played a prominent role in the streaming media’s news cycle, drawing criticism from people like Ludwig and Hasan, among others.

A video of xQc conversing with Tate surpassed the video announcing Sodapoppin’s joining OTK as the most popular trending post on the LivestreamFails Reddit on Friday morning due to the polarizing personality commanding the attention of viewers. And Soda wasn’t really pleased about taking second place.

Soda said, “I’m so mad that xQc fucking with Andrew Tate was the top LSF post over me getting announced. Why am I not number one? … I got beat by xQc calling him a groomer or something. I fell asleep.”

With Tate’s divisive popularity on the platform, Asmongold quipped back to Soda that if he espoused misogynistic attitudes, he might be able to compete. Asmongold remarked, “You should have talked about how you own women. That’s all you had to do.”

The two had a more in-depth discussion about the “meta,” or streaming content cycle, as a result of Soda’s anger. Creators like Asmongold used the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial earlier in the spring to boost their viewership, and right now, talking about the turmoil surrounding Tate is driving engagement.

Soda said, “I want to be the next meta. I don’t want to beat women or anything like that. I don’t want to get canceled, but I want it to be ‘oh my god Sodapoppin, let’s talk about Soda.”
