Smash Pro Moist Aaron Is Banned From Twitch

Moist Aaron, a pro at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, was banned from Twitch for repeatedly posting phallic copypastas in chat.

Due to the prevalence of weird out-of-context remarks, photos, and other online content, copypastas have become a significant element of Twitch and internet culture. However, Twitch can sometimes find those copypastas to be a bit excessive, and the ban hammer ends up being used heavily. Aaron Wilhite, a Smash professional, was suspended for a substantial amount of time on September 10 for uploading phallic ascii images in chat.

The Diddy Kong main said that Aaron was posting too much “random bullsh*t” in people’s chats shortly after Aaron was banned from Twitch. He asserted that he was also posting ascii graphics, which are essentially works of art composed of keyboard- and text-entry characters.

Aaron commented pointing out that he had been suspended for a week; “Guess Twitch is really cracking down on copypastas now.”

Some users argued that the Smash pro’s suspension shouldn’t be as long because the streamer who was caught having sex live on broadcast received the same length of ban. Aaron, on the other hand, seems to be handling the ban well, saying that he “at least comprehends” the reason why he was temporarily banned from Twitch.

Wilhite will be free to resume streaming early this week thanks to his successful appeal of the suspension by Twitch, who reduced the penalty to just four days. The ban comes just after Aaron’s career-defining victory at PAX West’s Almost Pro, where he defeated teammates Light and Kola of Moist Esports to complete a Moist podium sweep.
