Shroud’s Say on New World’s Mounts

Twitch streamer Shroud believes that mounts will take “years” to arrive in the massively multiplayer online game New World.

As of right now, Amazon Game Studios’ New World does not support the use of mounts. Many players are hoping for a mount feature in a future update because the only way to get around the open world is to walk, run, or teleport.

However, streamer Michael Grzesiek AKA ‘Shroud’ has warned players that they will have to wait a long time for that to happen. He was talking to his Twitch viewers about the possibility of mounts coming to the game, saying that the game is “built for travel on foot and teleportation” during his most recent stream.

He said that when they change the game a lot, they might add mounts and said that people know how every MMO goes through a phase where it completely changes how it’s played and that it occurs on a regular basis.

MMOs start out one way and then turn into something else and when that happens in the New World, a couple of years down the road, they will start seeing mounts and that it will take years.”

In comparison to World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV, New World is currently the only popular MMO without mounts, though it’s possible that a future update for the Amazon Games Studios title will include a new mount feature.

New World has lost 500,000 players in its first month, according to reports. According to SteamCharts, the game peaked at 913,027 players when it first launched, but it’s been losing around 135,000 players every week since then.

In other news, League of Legends avatars have been released on Reddit ahead of the release of the animated show Arcane.
