Pokimane’s Emotes

Imane Anys AKA ‘Pokimane’ is one of the most popular Twitch streamers in the world, but she recently revealed that she can’t even use emotes on Twitch without lagging.

It’s not uncommon for viewers to give subs to smaller streamers, but when there’s no one else to give to, the donors turn to the popular streamers and give them a sub.

Each streamer has the option of uploading their own emotes, which subscribers to their channel have access to.

Pokimane said that she can’t even open specific portions of Twitch without suffering lag as a result of receiving too many gifts.

She, like the other prominent streamers, attracts hundreds of new subscribers each month, each with their own set of emotes.

A donator asked Pokimane if she gets annoyed by the random gifts during a stream on October 2. She then opened her remote picker, revealing that she couldn’t use it without lagging.

Although not being able to open the remote picker is a minor inconvenience, Pokimane is unconcerned. She even expressed her gratitude for receiving all of the substitutes.

Fortunately, if things get out of hand, Twitch has a feature that allows her to block gifted subscriptions to channels she doesn’t watch.
