Pokimane Turns Down Esports Org Offers

During a recent live broadcast, Twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane has stated that unlike many of her fellow content creators, she has no plans to join a gaming organization.

Several Twitch stars have announced big-money moves to various esports organizations in recent months. Creators such as fuslie, kyedae, and TinaKitten, who recently announced her move on September 16, 2021, have recently joined 100 Thieves.

However, despite receiving a lot of lucrative offers, Pokimane stated that she had no plans to join any esports team. According to the prominent Twitch streamer, she does not want a corporation to affect her career and instead wants to focus on her own brand.

During her recent stream while talking to her viewers, the topic came out when she congratulated her friend and fellow Twitch streamer Tinakitten into becoming the latest to join the 100 Thieves. While Anys said she was, of course, happy for her friend, she was quick to shut down any suggestions that she too may be on the move in the near future, to 100 Thieves or elsewhere.

Here’s what she said; “I’ve got a lot of offers from organizations, but I always felt like I didn’t want to. Even throughout my whole come-up, I got offers. Look, I don’t know, I want to just be me. I don’t want to be under another company. I don’t want anybody telling me what to do, how to live. Do you think every creator has to be in an org? I actually think a lot of creators get lowballed by organizations. But I understand if they don’t value branding much.”

As to be expected, Pokimane has had a number of lucrative offers in the past, but she believes that joining an esports organization could lead to conflicts of interest, which could harm her personal brand.

Pokimane appears unlikely to join an esports organization at this point in her career, based on her comments. The streamer wishes to devote herself entirely to her own public image.
