Pokimane Suffers From Inappropriate Thumbnails

Imane Anys aka Pokiamne is one of the most popular female streamers, not just on Twitch but throughout the world. However, Pokimane has recently been hit out by those people who are said to be using gross and inappropriate thumbnails when re-uploading her twitch streams. Due to the recent DMCA issue on Twitch, it has been under fire for not doing enough to protect its streamers from seemingly arbitrary DMCA strikes. As a result streamers and many fans of Twitch streamers have been re-uploading some of their content to other platforms to make sure that it will not be lost forever.

Being that Pokimane is one of the biggest content creators on Twitch, many fans have been re-uploading her past VOD’s and clips to other platforms. She tweeted out on Twitter that she has no issue with it but she has hit out against those followers who are re-uploading her contents with manipulative titles and thumbnails to portray her in a gross and inappropriate manner. She stated that she was uncomfortable to seeing her content presented that way.

The reuploading of her content with suggestive thumbnails and titles has been a constant battle for Pokimane, one that she’s still trying to fight. Pokimane stated on her Twitter; “Seen a lotta people re-upload my clips/VODs to youtube~ i don’t mind but please don’t use gross and inappropriate titles and thumbnails. It’s my content after all, and it makes me uncomfortable to see it used that way. Thank you to anyone who respects my wishes”!
