Pokimane, Twitch’s most popular female streamer, has been accused of taking drugs and controlled substances while live streaming after an old video went viral on Twitter and other social media sites.

Pokimane was pushed back into the spotlight after Jidion’s freshly minted Twitch partner hate raided her, with his fans spamming “L+Ratio” in her chat and then messaging her viewers to create discord.

Pokimane was accused of using drugs and controlled substances on a live stream by a Twitter user at the time of the incident, which she categorically rejected. She later responded to the rumors on Twitter. After multiple individuals attacked her on the network, she quickly made her profile private.

Here’s what she has to say; “I truly cannot believe I have to say this. But no, I don’t do coke or any drugs for that matter. I’ve never even done a drinking stream, y’all. The Olympic level could get cold metals tbh.”

Pokimane once opened a Japanese-style loot box on one of her streams, where sugar was placed in lines, similar to how drug addicts organize their drugs. Many people misinterpreted a clip from years ago, and she was subjected to unwarranted hatred.

Pokimane’s one-day ban compared to other creators’ month-long bans could explain why she’s been receiving so much backlash in the wake of the latest DMCA takedowns. As of the moment, Twitch has yet to issue a word on the matter.
