Pokimane Discusses About Fans Making Weird Assumptions

Stop assuming Imane “Pokimane” Anys is expecting every time she makes an announcement, for the love of heaven.

She wants Twitch viewers to know that she set the rules for the community. She is sick and weary of the small group of “weird” admirers who automatically assume that everytime she announces fresh information. “Every single time I mention any sort of announcement, news, anything exciting, there’s at least a minimum three people like, ‘Pregnant? Are you pregnant?’ Like bro, not even my mom talks… about this shit as some of y’all. It’s weird!”

Pokimane believes that many women in their 20s have to cope with it, and she has had enough. “Being a woman in her 20s is strange, she remarked, since if you receive wonderful news, someone must assume that you are pregnant. You’ll be so excited about something—a work promotion, for example—that you won’t even realize you need to start thinking about having children right away. Sometimes the annoying conduct gives her the impression that getting pregnant is what she should do, at least in terms of cultural and societal expectations and customs. She then abruptly returns to reality.

She pleaded with her Twitch viewers to simply stop. “I didn’t wanna think about babies now!’ Stop!” she said. “The 30s will be even worse? Stop! When does it stop? When you’re 50? What if I want to be pregnant at 50?”

Pokimane has previously expressed her desire to become a mother with enthusiasm. But she doesn’t have anything planned for the near future, and she doesn’t want to be bothered with it. Her dating status is another topic that those same annoying Twitch viewers enjoy bringing up. They have an obsession with finding out her sexual orientation, who she dates, and other details.

The Moroccan-Canadian streamer, though, is unmoving. She wants to keep her personal and professional lives apart, and she has so far succeeded admirably in her streaming career.
