Paige Refuses to End her Channel

Paige will not comply with WWE’s mandate to end her Twitch channel and will continue to stream because it’s good for her mental health. Paige is a former wrestler who made a name for herself in the wrestling industry. In September 2016, Paige revealed that she would undergo neck surgery and would not wrestle for an undisclosed amount of time. She also suffers from scoliosis but was unaware that she had the condition until after signing with WWE, when a trainer noticed that her back looked “wrong”.

Saraya-Jade Bevis is also known as Paige. She is 28 years Old, born on the 17th of August in 1992. She lives in Los Angeles California. She now has 152,000 followers on Twitch. 2.6 million on Twitter, 5.9 million followers on Instagram and almost 3 million likes on her Facebook Page. She is a part of a professional wrestling family. Her mother, Hamer-Bevis and Father Patrick Bevis are wrestlers. Her older brothers are also professional wrestlers, named Roy Bevis and Zak Frary. She has performed under the ring name of Paige since 2012, joining WWE Divas Champion. Because of her neck injuries, she was forced to retire at the age of 25 in April 2018. As a child Paige was scared of wrestling because of the injuries her family received and the concept of her parents fighting other people for a living. As of now, streaming is one of the things that she’s doing.

She is enjoying streaming on Twitch and says that it helps and is good for her mental health. She believes she made the right decision. She thanks her fans for showing their love and support on social media.

During her live stream on Saturday, Paige said that she will continue to stream because it’s convenient because of the pandemic and she’s no longer wrestling because of her neck injuries/surgery. She refused WWE when they said that she had to delete her Twitch Account despite an edict from Vince McMahon indicating WWE talent can no longer be involved in third party business relationships.

“I honestly have got to the point [where] I cannot deal with this company anymore”, Bevis said during her Twitch stream. “Now I have to make a very important decision. I’m fucking tired, man. I broke my fucking neck twice — twice — for this company, dude. Over-fucking-worked. I broke my fucking neck twice for this company”.

“They don’t realize that this community… isn’t just about fucking subs, dude. It isn’t about that”, she continued. “We built such a wonderful community, a wonderful fucking family where this is [an] escape for a lot of people, including myself. I can’t wrestle anymore. I always worked so hard in WWE that I can’t wrestle anymore. My neck is fucked. My fucking dreams got taken away from me, dude, and I had to have something that fulfilled… that huge fucking void that I lost with wrestling”.

Paige also said that there is a new website in the works but didn’t say more because she didn’t want to add “more fuel to the fire”.

Some WWE stars were forced to pull their Twitch accounts in the last couple of days. Some rumors say that WWE is working with Twitch or starting with a similar service. Several wrestlers didn’t agree and are now in contact with corporate lawyer Andrew Yang.

WWE clarified that its performers would still be allowed to have these third-party accounts, but they have to use their real names, not their ring names.
