OTK Games Expo

Asmongold, a well-known Twitch streamer and co-founder of OTK, an esports organization and broadcasting collective, announced today the first OTK Games Expo.

Fans will have the opportunity to award $50,000 to selected studios at the event, which will feature a variety of independent creators. 

OTK, which was founded in October 2020, immediately gained a large following, thanks in part to its streaming figureheads and co-founders. OTK has added to its increasing list of content creators and esports teams since then. The organization has even put on shows, events, and esports tournaments, but the OTK Gaming Expo, which was just announced, looks to be the organization’s most ambitious and innovative initiative yet. Over 30 games will be showcased at the OTK Games Expo, covering dozens of genres and practically every playable platform.

Seeking to grant more recognition for independent game studios, Asmongold said “we want to put a spotlight on a lot of these underrepresented developers who might not have the same opportunities and avenues that the bigger developers and bigger companies have.”

The OTK Games Expo is giving away $50,000 in development awards to developers. Fans will get the opportunity to vote for their favorite games from the expo, as well as the titles and studios that will be honored. So far, no information about the games or studios that will be participating in the event has been released. The first event will take place on Asmongold’s Twitch account on June 8 at 1pm CT. The company has set up a dedicated Twitter account for the OTK Games Expo, so fans can follow along with announcements leading up to the event.
