One True King ‘Project Saturn’ Is Revealed

There are many companies, developers, and brands in the esports and gaming industries that adore teasing fans with a pre-announcement.

One True King is an esports organization owned by well-known creators like Asmongold, Mizkif, and, as of recently, Sodapoppin. As such, the company is well-versed in the art of planning and marketing for major announcements. Today, the organization shared a teaser video for something it vaguely refers to as “Project Saturn” on Twitter. The eight-second clip shared by the organization’s Twitter account featured the tag @ProjectSaturn, the phrase “Coming soon,” and the date August 8—next Monday.

In the background of the video, an animated city skyline could be seen. Moving the camera higher, a shooting star whizzed by and once more displayed the project’s name and release date before crazily changing directions several times. The organization provided very little additional information regarding the endeavor, but it did respond to its own post to clarify what the group of streamers is categorically not doing.

The organization posted; “No it’s not NFT or Crypto related. We’ll do a big rug pull in a few years or something.”

While some of OTK’s owners and content creators have made light of the idea of using cryptocurrencies and NFTs, they have also openly said that they do not want to enter that market. The company mentioned a Twitter account called “Project Saturn” in its tweet, and as of this writing, it has 4,488 followers. Its posts have all been made during the last day.

The account has made several jokes in reaction to various OTK members’ comments on the Project Saturn announcement. Its lone solitary post, which was published yesterday morning prior to OTK’s announcement, reads “August 8th” and includes a shooting star emoji.
