Ninja Rants

Michael Grzesiek, aka Shroud, recently signed an exclusive deal withTwitch after the Microsoft Mixer shut down. During his first stream of his return he nearly broke the viewer record that was previously set by Ninja. Shortly after Shroud signed a deal with Twitch, Ninja also returned to streaming on Twitch and also signed an exclusive deal with the platform. Because of this, the comparisons between the two have also returned. These two biggest streamers are well known for being unafraid for saying what is truly on their minds.

Ninja created an uproar last month when he spoke out about how high his taxes are during his live stream of the game Fall Guys: Ultimate knockout. He shared with his viewers how frustrating it was that half of his income was just going on for paying taxes every year. This rant of Ninja became controversial.

On the other hand, Shroud accepted his responsibility and was totally OK with paying these kinds of taxes. According to him, the ability of making this a career, you also need to bear with it the responsibilities, like paying taxes. Every streamer should be grateful to have this kind of living especially during these times of Pandemic when you don’t have to go outside to get your work done.

“I don’t really, I don’t really care too much about taxes. You know I pay whatever the amount is, and that’s it. You know, it’s out of the way.” Shroud stated. “Like, yeah it sucks. Half of my money’s gone, but I, the fact that I even have that much money in the first place. Bro, I’m literally sitting here on my a** doing nothing.. I really don’t care”.
