NICKMERCS Addresses Artesian Builds Giveaway

NICKMERCS, a popular Twitch streamer, reacted to a giveaway dispute involving one of his sponsors, Artesian Builds.

Only hours before NICKMERCS’ response, the pre-built PC company Artesian Builds was criticized for treating streamer kiapiaa with contempt and modifying the conditions of a giveaway, effectively disqualifying kiapiaa from winning. The corporation responded to kiapiaa’s original tweets, but merely made a passing reference to the situation, drawing greater criticism. 

NICKMERCS was eager to respond to the controversy on his stream immediately after. NICKMERCS said; “Point blank, without beating around the bush, what the homie said on that stream and the way that he said it was very weird. It was very, very odd and very weird.” 

Nick agreed with the consensus on Twitter, saying “I don’t think anyone is going to watch that and think anything good of it. I don’t like it.” 

Nick quickly distanced himself from the matter, saying that he doesn’t agree with or support the exact behavior, but he did express his concern for “cancel culture” and the idea that people or firms may be “buried” for their activities. NICKMERCS is still affiliated with Artesian Builds, as evidenced by the company’s banner on his Twitch account, but he and his team are “evaluating everything,” according to him. Artesian Builds has yet to respond.
