Amazon Prime Video and Twitch To Have NFL Game Streaming

Amazon’s streaming schedule is getting busier in the later weeks of the NFL season since the tech giant and league declared Monday that a week 16 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals will be broadcast exclusively on Prime Video and Twitch on December 26th.

The Prime Video and Twitch coverage of the NFL is accessible to more than 150 million paying prime subscribers worldwide. The tech giant stated that the CBS NFL Wild Card playoff game could be streamed on January 10th. It is the first NFL playoff game to be rebroadcast on Prime Footage.

Despite the scope and growth of tech giants and their major investments in sports, most analysts expect existing copyright owners to maintain their rights, even at the expected increase in value.

Amazon was established as a streaming partner for the NFL on Thursday nights, signing a multi-year deal to support Fox’s linear broadcasts.

Also, according to the initial findings, the streams did not receive blockbuster ratings for Amazon, but as overall viewing continues to shift to streaming, the NFL is increasingly interested in positioning itself accordingly.
