Nadeshot Explains Why Riot Blocked Him From Streaming the Valorant Beta

Matthew Haag aka Nadeshot, founder of the organization 100Thieves, has been unable to stream the game Valorant. Riot informed him that he could not stream footage of Valorant on April 7th. Valorant is Riot’s largest project since Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends. The class-based FPS’s upcoming beta has global Esports rivals kicking up dust over who gets their hands on the game first.

The issue became public while  was streaming together with Dennis Lepore aka cloakzy which is when he said that he could not broadcast the game.

Fellow streamer cloakzy asked him; “Why do you sound so down”? Nadeshot responded;  “I’m just pissed… I can’t stream Valorant on Tuesday. It’s such a long story bro. I’ll be playing but I can’t stream. I’m not allowed to stream… Other LCS, LEC and LCK team owners complained that I had access when they don’t have access so Riot asked me not to stream until the 8th, the next day.” Nadeshot also stated that the Riot games were not at fault and that they didn’t do anything wrong, it was just the other owners. However, Riot Games Kasra Jafroodi explained that the real reason behind Nadeshot and 100t not being able to stream Valorant was to ensure fairness between players and other Esports organizations.
