Mizkif’s Reason For Leaving Twitch

If he had been in Ludwig’s shoes, popular streamer Mizkif said he would have left Twitch for YouTube.

In November 2021, one of Twitch’s most prominent content creators, Ludwig Ahgren, shocked the community when he announced that he had secured an exclusive deal with YouTube.

During his most recent video, fellow streamer Mizkif lambasted Ludwig’s critics and claimed that he would have taken the same deal. Ludwig’s “LivestreamFails subreddit is bad for streamers video” caught Mizkif off guard when he discovered that fans were skeptical of Ahgren’s decision to leave Twitch.

He stated; “People don’t like Ludwig because he went to YouTube? They can shut the f**k up. Him going to YouTube was a great, great thing. You guys got to see these Twitch contracts they’re throwing out left and right. He’s a sell-out? Bro, it’s good for his brand and he makes more money. It’s a win-win. What do you want him to do?”

He then reminded his audience that if he had been in Ludwig’s shoes, he would have departed the platform as well. “I’d do the exact same thing!” I was one of the persons that advised him to travel over there, and he will not be sorry! ” he exclaimed ecstatically.

Ludwig’s choice was further defended by the OTK org owner, who emphasized the differences between the two streaming sites. He said; “Ludwig likes to enjoy life. He wasn’t able to go out and experience things. He doesn’t want to have to stream 200 hours a month just to keep it. YouTube provided that, Twitch doesn’t. Twitch is a platform that wants you to stream as long as possible so they can do ads.”

Mizkif also claimed that his brand’s growth has primarily come from YouTube and TikTok, rather than Twitch communities like the popular LivestreamFail subreddit, during the previous year. Who knows, maybe the streamer will move platforms in the future if the price is right.
