Mizkif Takes A Step Back From Social Media

After evaluating the impact social media was having on his mental health, Twitch star Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo made the decision to take a break from it. He believes Twitter is now the worst culprit.

Having to deal with criticism and talk about you and the things you do and say on social media is one of the biggest drawbacks of being a well-known Twitch and YouTube star. Use of social media is associated with an increase in mental health problems. And when thousands of people frequently talk about you, that rate rises tenfold. Therefore, it’s usual for streamers to cut back on their use of social media. In response to criticism of The Streamer Awards 2022, QTCinderella did it. And as of right now, Mizkif intends to follow suit, he announced this week.

He said; “You know what also makes my brain work so much better mentally? I’ve stopped going on so much social media,”

This includes all of them. But the main one he was referring to was Twitter. The star streamer said he’d done spending hours sifting through comments on Twitter every day because “none of it matters.”

He continued by saying he “couldn’t care less” about what others think. Other streamers feel the same way. Mizkif, however, went a step farther and called it the largest waste of time. He declared, “I’m done going on there,” reiterating his position.

Mizkif has previously been candid about his mental health issues. He claims that many of these issues are related to the demands of being a livestream, and at one time, he even thought about leaving Twitch completely. Thankfully, it hasn’t gotten that far. And if taking a break from social media reduces some of that strain, he’ll be better able to stay on top of things and feel better overall.
