Mizkif Offers Opinion Of Twitch Fame

Twitch streamer Mizkif opened up about the difficulties of being a popular Twitch streamer, admitting that internet fame has faded. Long hours and persistent stress have taken their toll on the star, who now needs more time away to establish balance.

In the last few years, Mizkif has become increasingly popular. Due to his massive growth and original content throughout the year, Dexerto named him as the top Twitch streamer in 2021. However, he conceded that it has taken its toll on him, explaining that he prefers his time off since it allows him to escape the constant stress and “substantial” hostility he receives online.

Mizkif stated; “Nowadays, I actually like my time offline more than I like my time online. I need that time, and I think it’s because I’ve gotten my fill of attention and popularity. I don’t need it or crave it as much as I used to.”

It’s not because he’s reached his objective of becoming one of the most popular streamers on the site, he explained. Instead, it’s because he believes that constantly being in the spotlight is “not as great” as people believe. “The constant stress in dealing with your fan base and the amount of hate that you get can be pretty substantial. I know a lot of you guys don’t really realize that, but I definitely do get my fair share of hate. It’s very stressful.”

As if that wasn’t challenging enough, he added that the fact that some of his strongest opponents are also friends made things much more difficult. “It’s very difficult to navigate that friendship when they’re your competitors.”

Miz came to the conclusion that being a successful streamer isn’t worth it solely for fame. He did agree, though, that the money is good, but not at the expense of his mental health.
