Mizkif Ends Stream Early

Popular Twitch streamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo abruptly ended a Twitch Plays Pokemon livestream without providing an explanation, which sparked various rumors. Despite numerous attempts by the Twitch streamer to win back lost viewers, the Pokemon stream wasn’t especially effective.

Mizkif continued his Twitch Plays Pokemon experiences with Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire during a livestream on December 2 on Twitch, which is not a particular genre of content for his channel. Since its conception in 2014, the idea of Twitch players for Pokemon games has gone through various iterations, all the way up to Gen 8 in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Despite the fact that the Twitch Plays Pokemon concept has been successful for certain well-known content creators, Mizkif did not achieve the numbers he may have anticipated given a comment that he later posted. Over 4,000 Reddit upvotes have been given to a clip from Mizkif’s Twitch Plays Pokemon stream that captures the moment that the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire starter Mudkip’s evolution gets overruled by chat votes.

Before the trainer released it, the level 25 Marshtomp was chosen next to a Shroomish in a PC storage box, permanently erasing it from the save file. A Twittlonger explaining his reasoning was shared with his followers by Mizkif after he abruptly halted the Twitch Plays Pokemon stream less than a minute after the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire starter was removed.

After taking a break, Mizkif made a comeback to his Twitch stream on December 2 by hosting the Twitch Plays Pokemon event. He made the announcement of his return on the Amazon platform just two days earlier. Mizkif cited low views and the loss of his starter Pokemon as the reasons for postponing the Twitch Plays Pokemon engagement, which only attracted a small portion of his audience compared to before the recent issue.

Some of his audience was shocked to learn that Mizkif won’t actually be back until his inquiry is over because one of the conditions he connected to the return stream was a contract to get back to full-time Twitch streaming upon the completion of the game.

While many of Mizkif’s followers lamented the sudden end of Twitch Plays Pokemon on the channel, others argued that the audience was respectable considering the time of day he chose to stream. One Pokemon fan said that the well-known Twitch streamer didn’t need to attend since it was just a “interactive screensaver,” but another expressed surprise over Mizkif’s decision to cancel it since he wasn’t going to be playing anyhow.
