Mizkif And Stream Snipers

Mizkif criticized the several stream snipers who overstayed their welcome on the broadcast during OTK’s recent trip to South Korea.

OTK, an esports group and streaming collective, recently traveled to South Korea and broadcasted live from Seoul and Busan to their large Twitch audience. Fans brought in IRL donations, Esfand chipped a bone, and the crew managed their own convenience store, among other notable moments. The streamers were frequently harassed by stream snipers while enjoying their vacation in a new nation. Stream sniping occurs when a viewer uses a broadcaster’s stream to find their location, which is all too prevalent for streamers. This is frequently done to either locate an IRL streamer and appear on their stream, or to get a tactical advantage over the streamer in a video game.

Mizkif claimed that the number of stream snipers made him not want to stream during OTK’s South Korean vacation, adding, “I got away from America to stream IRL and the fact that there were so many stream snipers was fucking annoying.”

Mizkif and Emiru told a story about a group of stream snipers following them to an animal café. Mizkif said; “They made me pay! [The cashier] told me my total was $99.75 or something like that. And I paused to hear someone in the background hopefully say ‘I’ll pay for mine,’ but they’re all just sitting there… I didn’t even invite you and you’re telling me I’m paying for your ass?”

Mizkif continued to be irritated by the numerous stream snipers who followed the party from location to location and disrupted the stream. Stream snipers have been a near-constant issue for Mizkif during any IRL stream, but his trip to South Korea seems to amplify this.
