Markiplier Pleads With “scummy” Companies To Stop Knocking Off His Merch

Markiplier is one of the most popular content creators and has more than 26 million subscribers on YouTube. Due to his popularity, he is now dealing with copycats. He said that he is especially outraged because even his merch which he sells exclusively for charity has been copied.

The company who is knocking off Markiplier’s merch named their merch “Bootleg”. Markiplier declared that those are not fan art. The problem is that people are duplicating designs that he already sells for charity and they are selling it for a profit.

He also made a video on YouTube and reviews the Bootleg markiplier merch that had been duplicated as well as those items that they copied from way back from 2014 and onward.

This isn’t the first time Markiplier has hit out at legally-questionable products; the star also reviewed an unauthorized biography about him. “Listen, if you make knockoff merch that is just a rip of the merch that I’ve already made or have made in the past, stop. Don’t. Don’t do that. The stuff I sell on Markiplier.com is for charity. …and you take those designs, and you sell it for profit, it’s scummy, and it’s wrong.”, Markiplier said.
