Ludwig Will Never do Another Twitch Subathon Again

Twitch streamer Ludwig who held a long subathon stream on twitch now claims that he will never do another Subathon, and went on to explain exactly why he’s made that decision for the future. Ludwig’s Aghren’s subathon stream clearly caused an absolute stir on the internet. Having started back on March 14th and ending on April 13th, Ludwig’s Subathon makes him the first streamer to ever go for nearly a month straight.

On the last day of his subathon stream, Ludwig managed to beat twitch star Tyler Blevins aka Ninja’s twitch record of all-time Twitch subscribers and now, Ludwig is holding the new subscribers record on twitch. Because of the success of his subathon stream breaking every record on twitch, many have been wondering if Ludwig will ever do another subathon stream again in the future. Ludwig answered this question during the final day of his stream. Ludwig compared the situation to movie sequels, specifically The Hangover trilogy. He doesn’t believe a second Subathon will be anywhere near as successful as the original, in the same way he doesn’t think that The Hangover Part 2 achieved the same level of quality as the first film.

He stated; “The reason I would never do one again is very simple. And it’s the reason why you shouldn’t make a sequel to the movie The Hangover… It’ll never be as good as the original. How the fuck am I going to top something that happened magically, out of the blue, for a planned 24-hour stream that ended up going a month, breaking records, by just saying I’m going to do the same thing again? Fuck that.” However, Twitch streamer Ludwig does have one exception that would make him reconsider. If Ludwig has the opportunity to do another Subathon from outer space, he said he likely will take advantage of it. For the moment, Ludwig’s Subathon days are over — at least, they will be after this first one officially ends.
