Ludwig Selling Bidets

Popular YouTuber Ludwig has revealed that he is launching his own range of bidets after spending a year creating them covertly.

Amouranth, a Twitch streamer, recently invested $8 million in a petrol station and a car wash, so side ventures for streamers are nothing new. However, Ludwig’s entry into the personal cleaning industry is one of the most unexpected side projects to date. Ludwig Ahgren, an American streamer and content creator who goes by the handle Ludwig, first gained notoriety by playing games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and the Mario Party series on Twitch.

Ludwig quit Twitch in 2021 to start streaming only on YouTube, but his popularity seems to have grown unaffected by the switch in platforms. In addition to winning Streamer of the Year at The Streamer Awards, Ludwig recently smashed Ninja’s previous record for the most subscribers on a solo Twitch channel. Ludwig said on his Twitter account that he has been quietly producing his own bidet for the past year and would soon be selling it. The humorously named Swipe bidet, which Ludwig calls “the greatest bidet ever crafted by man,” is available for purchase right now on the business’s website.

If the new product line is profitable, the streamer might be able to utilize the money to partially pay for the substantial damage to his property that was allegedly done when a SWAT team entered Ludwig’s home after he and his family had been the subject of swatting by unidentified assailants.

Due to the global pandemic-related toilet paper shortages, bidets have become a common sight in many households recently. However, this entry into the personal hygiene product by a well-known YouTube streamer and content creator is a highly unusual move.

Twitter users reacted to Ludwig’s revelation in a variety of ways, including with amusement, confusion, and other individuals tweeting screenshots of their order confirmations with excitement. For gamers looking for the ultimate in bathroom luxury, Ludwig’s Swipe range of bidets provides either a $50 add-on nozzle for existing toilets or a $500 full seat replacement option with a remote control and deodorizer. Even though Ludwig’s brand of bidets might seem like an odd business venture, it serves as an illustration of the numerous inventive methods streamers are attempting to ensure that they can still support themselves when the time comes to put down the camera.

Ludwig is probably not the last content producer to come up with an unexpected new way to pay the bills as anger over Twitch’s new revenue split for broadcasters, which substantially limits the potential revenues for streamers at every level of success on the platform, continues to rage.
