Ludwig Doing another Subathon With Twist

During his Subathon last year, Ludwig broke the Twitch subscription record. He has since considered the possibility of holding another such event.

The well-known content producer who now collaborates with YouTube also unveiled plans for a new event today. But he is doing the broadcasting business for charity, not to attract Twitch subscribers for his own financial advantage. He stated, “I’ve been wondering for a long time about how to do another Subathon. But I don’t want to just extract money out of my viewers for an uncapped amount of time that repeats things we’ve already done… But how could I do something for charity that combines the aspect of the Subathon, which is living life, while including things that make the content better overall.”

He’s performing the full 50-hour event during DreamHack Atlanta in a glass box. Additionally, you can subject him to additional “torture” the more money fans raise. He said; “I came to the conclusion that I could put myself inside of a glass box, rig it with a bunch of cameras, and every time I raise a certain amount of money for charity, I will allow the stream to torture me in a variety of ways living out a murderous Truman Show. The more money you spend, the more time I will spend in the box, and the more torture devices I will go through.”

The funds Ludwig raises will benefit No Kid Hungry and Alveus Sanctuary, which was established by Maya Higa, another well-known streamer. Fans who wish to see Ludwig live at the event can use the code “Ludwig” to receive a 20% discount on their DreamHack tickets. The stream will run from November 18 to November 20. Additionally, 20% of ticket sales made with that code will be donated to a charitable organization by DreamHack. 

During that 50-hour marathon, Ludwig stated that his objective was to raise $100,000 for charity. However, given the level of accomplishment Ludwig has already demonstrated, that sum will undoubtedly be destroyed.
