Jesus Comes to Twitch

Dexter, a Twitch manager, described the Ministry’s outreach of OneZero as a “community” of GMA associates, who together are given an opportunity to stream any games they prefer; they use their Twitch site to distribute Christian content and invite their audiences to access the GMA Discord server.

The Christian gamers are taking an interest in the video game streaming site because it introduces a major mission area for reaching people with the Gospel. It’s well adapted for fellowshipping as well.

These Christians continue watching the Twitch streams and questioned if they could be used to preach the gospel. It would be impossible to do that in conversation, because the chats go so fast that substantive questions can easily be missed. They were motivated to do more.

As Hennig said; “I’m just surprised by the massive amount of kids and adults who responded. They’re just like, ‘Yeah, I want to hear about this.’ They’re surprisingly thirsty to hear about what the Bible says about the afterlife and what you know when you die”.
