Jake Lucy Takes Initiative

The twitch community was captivated by the fight between Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, which was a hot topic in the community. In the midst of the commotion, several streaming stars have gotten involved by publicly expressing their viewpoints, with some defending Pokimane and others trying to be Ninja’s strength. 

In the meantime, Jake Lucky took advantage of the chance to answer a few questions.  Jake Lucky enlisted the help of Tom “AttorneyTom” Kherkher, a practising attorney, who is a content creator side-by-side. Jake needs his advice to figure out what might happen if Ninja files a lawsuit against Pokimane. Jake asked: “Is there a chance Ninja or Jessica Blevins could even win a lawsuit against Pokimane?”

They would have to show that Pokimane acted in a hostile manner, according to attorney Tom. Since Pokimane revealed the Dms of both Ninja and his wife, Jessica Blevins, that Poki has been receiving, there have been many suspicions. Jessica sent out messages about their legal team’s involvement in the ongoing case, and the two discussed taking next steps. 

As a result, esports fan Jake Lucky contacted AttorneyTom for a talk in which he offered some helpful advice on the subject. On Twitter, a clip of their chat was shared: “I got in touch with AttorneyTom, who’s actually a creator and also an attorney, who’s been recently diving into more of the gaming/streaming world with some of his clips. So I asked him, ‘Is there a chance that Ninja or Jessica Blevins could even win a lawsuit against Pokimane?”

After that, AttorneyTom began to outline what Ninja would have to do in order to win a defamation case: “So, essentially, because Ninja is a public figure, if he wants any shot at winning a defamation lawsuit against Pokimane, he’s going to have to prove that Poki acted with actual malice when she made her statements. What actual malice is, is essential that Poki knew the statements she was making were false at the time she was making them, yet she still decided to make them anyway.”

After that, AttorneyTom provides his thoughts on whether Ninja can defeat Poki in the legal battle stating; “Based on the evidence and the videos that I’ve seen, I think there is no way that Ninja could prove that.” 

Jack Lucy’s version of the story did not get a lot of people to watch the video he released. People didn’t appear to like it or share it much.
