Jacksepticeye Tests Positive For COVID

On his final day in Los Angeles, popular Twitch streamer Jacksepticeye stated that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

The positive test came after he went to the Game Awards and conducted a Thankmas segment with OfflineTV stars Disguised Toast, Michael Reeves, and LilyPichu, implying that he may have unintentionally exposed them to the virus. During his time in LA, he also spent time with Valkyrae and other influential people. According to Rae’s comments on her stream, the OTV house and Rae have all taken quick tests and come back negative.

While none of the potentially exposed streamers have reported positive COVID-19 testing so far, and JackSepticEye indicated his partner Gab Smolders has tested negative for the time being, the more accurate PCR tests take several days to get results. As a result, it’s still possible that some of the streamers who were with Jack in LA tested positive for the virus.

As Jack begins his battle with the virus, he has received an outpouring of support from the Twitch community.

The new positive test comes at a time when COVID is on the rise in the United States, thanks to both the Delta and the new Omicron variants, both of which have proven to be highly contagious. Despite the increase in COVID cases, events such as the Game Awards have gone on, potentially spreading the virus.
