Ibai Soccer Match

Ibai, a Spanish streamer and esports caster, recently announced on his stream and social media that he will compete in a special soccer match against Spanish team Barça Cupra with a team he made called Ibai and Friends.

The match will take place on June 1 at Camp Nou, with free tickets available to anybody who wish to attend, though Ibai has not yet announced how those tickets may be obtained. The match will be split into two 25-minute halves. There will also be several types of testing for each team, such as determining which squad is the greatest at free kicks, passing precision, and other duties. 

Ibai stated in another tweet that he is still seeking for players to make up his team, so there is no way of knowing who else Ibai’s fans may expect to see during the event.  

Ibai told his followers; “I’m looking for 22 people who want to participate in my team. The objective is to win at Camp Nou. I’ll make the best team possible, if anyone wants to join my team, let me know right here,”

It’s also unclear who will make up the Barcelona and Cupra teams, however it’s expected that at least a few FC Barcelona stars will take part. Last year, Ibai won Best Streamer of the Year for the second year in a row at the Esports Awards. He is the founder of the esports company KOI, and his official Twitch channel has over 10 million followers, where you can follow his stream schedule as well as the rest of his work, such as reactions, interviews, and other events. Gerard Piqué, Ibai’s business partner and co-founder of KOI, is a professional soccer player for FC Barcelona, which helped pave the path for this event.
