Hamlinz’s Absence

According to Hamlinz, the NRG Thoom House, a $7 million content house and channel that included streamers Daequan and Hamlinz, has shut down. After a two-month hiatus from streaming, the streamer stated today that the Thoom House has come to an end, along with some explanations.

On Twitter earlier today, Hamlinz addressed his sudden withdrawal from social media. Hamlinz stated he would create another streaming account so he could continue creating video without the same amount of pressure, citing mental health difficulties as one of the reasons for his absence.

Hamlinz’s debut broadcast on his new account, which was met with praise from both fellow streamers and viewers, revealed why the Thoom House ultimately failed.

Hamlinz explained; “There’s a lot of reasons why there’s no more Thoom House. The main reason is the internet was fucking dogshit. Everything was wrong with the house.”

Apart from practical obstacles, Hamlinz said there were several “disagreements” with NRG, including editing and how Hamlinz and Daequan were intended to complete the required content. Hamlinz said; “It was our idea for the channel, but at the end of the day, it was NRG’s channel. The Thoom House channel wasn’t ours. After the Thoom House is gone, that’s their channel. Like, we can’t post on that channel any more if we leave NRG.”

After a two-year break following their departure from TSM, NRG announced the comeback of Hamlinz and Daequan in August 2021. The return of the Thoom House was met with immediate success, with over 500,000 followers on the official YouTube channel in the first month. Despite creating content on a regular basis over the next two months, content creators went silent late last year.

While the Thoom House is officially over, it’s uncertain whether the two will stay with NRG.
