GTA RP Streamers go Against r/RPClipsGTA Mod

After a big update to the GTA RP server NoPixel caused a huge rift in the community, especially among streamers and fans of the RPClipsGTA subreddit, the two factions battled. A Discord call was made, which users on the subreddit found to be rather contentious. Many streamers joined a Discord call with a mod of the RPClipsGTA subreddit, including Felix “xQc” Lengyel.

The controversial call took place between NoPixel server GTA RP broadcasters and dotPHUNK, a Reddit mod for the RPClipsGTA subreddit. The communication between the two sides was difficult. Prior to the commencement of the video in question, Felix “xQc” Lengyel had mentioned how some of the subreddit’s drama-heavy postings had been swiftly removed before they could cause any major quarrels. Several poisonous threads, on the other hand, took more than eight hours to remove, which he believes was done on purpose.

The call’s subreddit’s moderator, dotPHUNK, noted that adopting a U-Mod was difficult. As a result, most of them would be sleeping when these threads appeared, which is why removing them would take hours. Another streamer, Bob “Penta,” came up at that point, saying: “I don’t know dog, you let, f***ing – I don’t think I’ve ever had a hate thread about me deleted.”

dotPHUNK attempted to interject, asking him, “What’s a hate thread?” Penta began to repeat the mod’s question with disbelief. The mod then continued; “I know this is going to seem super disingenuous but I don’t mean it like, but like, what is YOUR definition of a hate thread?”

In response, Penta replied in confusion; “You want me to define what hate is? If I need to define that to you I think you need to step down as a moderator.”

The video, which was shared on Livestream Fail, was slanted heavily against the streamers who took part in the call. While 20 other streamers were present, many felt they were unnecessarily “dog-piling” against the single mod. Many Reddit users pointed out that the GTA RP clips subreddit is a mash-up of all the RP server’s streamer communities. If broadcasters themselves moderated their own chats, the toxicity would be subdued at the source.

The streamers in question are members of the NoPixel GTA 5 Roleplay server. NoPixel is one of the most well-known GTA RP servers, with several well-known streamers having gained fame through it or already playing on it.
