Girls Trip Is Canceled

QTCinderella, a popular Twitch streamer, has had to cancel her in-person streamer event, Girls Trip, when one of the participants tested positive for COVID-19.

Following The Streamer Awards, QTCinderella announced her latest collaboration, Girls Trip, on April 18. The trip was intended to gather 15 other Twitch streamers to Florida for a weekend of streaming from May 4 – 7, covering a wide range of events. The Botez sisters started the weekend off with a pancake art broadcast, but it was cut short almost immediately when QTCinderella made her revelation.  She wrote, “I’ve got the worst news ever. One of the girls tested positive for COVID this morning (despite testing negative yesterday).”

The Twitch streamer added that because the remainder of the house tested negative for COVID, she decided to call off the whole thing.

QTCinderella said. “I’m so incredibly sad and sorry.”

QTCinderella’s statement was met with abundant support from fans, fellow streamers, and expected participants of Girls Trip. Sydeon, an OTV member who attended the Girls Trip, commended QTCinderella for organizing the trip and recalled fondly on the brief time they had together before isolating. The twitch streamer stated; “Thank you for bringing us all together, it was such a pleasure to spend even a little bit of time with you all. This was such a hard choice to make, but so proud of you for being responsible and for all your hard work.”

It is currently unknown whether Girls Trip will return at a later date. However, it appears that the unexpected case of COVID has put a stop to the event for the time being.
