Emiru Stalker Is In Mental Hospital

The stalker who’s actions led OTK Twitch star Emily “Emiru” Schunk to leave Kansas for Texas in October 2021 out of concern for her safety has been committed to a mental hospital where she will spend what she believes will be a very long time.

It’s been a few months since the initial incident. She took an unscheduled break in May because the terrible event—which included the law enforcement procedure—continued to haunt her. Fortunately, Emiru announced on her stream on July 28th that the chapter has now officially ended. She said, “The guy who was stalking me and I basically moved here because of has been institutionalized. He is in a long-term mental hospital. He’s not in jail or anything. He’s not going to be there forever. But it was just a big weight off my chest hearing that. He’s going to be there for a very long time.”

Some supporters believed that he should have been imprisoned instead. Emiru, however, stated that she is happy he ended up in a mental hospital because he had a previous illness and she wants him to receive the assistance he requires. She has had to cope with other stalkers in addition to him. He wasn’t even the worst one, in her opinion. She is delighted to finally receive some much-needed closure because of the huge influence his pranks had on her life.

The Twitch star is already feeling much better. She said; “I feel like I’ve been more like my old self. I didn’t realize how much it was affecting me. I’ve been living on 25 percent power [dealing with the issue].”

Emiru is unfortunately not the only livestream who has had encounters with stalkers. There are numerous other examples as well, but two standouts are Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa. It’s a problem because parasocial interactions can readily arise, especially among the mentally ill, via live streaming, which has a larger possibility of potential interaction between followers and their idols than traditional media.
