Emiru Reaches 1 Million Followers

The incredible year of Twitch star Emily “Emiru” Schunk reached new heights on August 7 as she passed the top 250 most-followed streamers on the Amazon-owned platform with one million followers.

Since leaving high school in 2016, the League of Legends aficionado has started broadcasting. She had fewer than 40,000 fans in her first year. But since then, her popularity has only increased. Emiru had about 100,000 followers in 2017, 150,000 in 2018, 200,000 in 2019, and 250,000 in 2020, according to TwitchTracker. It has been an ongoing rise. After then, her streaming popularity skyrocketed at the end of 2021.

It happened at the same time as Emiru’s choice to relocate from Kansas to Texas in October 2021 in order to stop encountering a stalker again. She made the decision to reside in Austin in Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo’s home with other content creators. She was invited to join by Mizkif and the other founders of the One True King in January 2022. When Emiru agreed, her fellowship increased from 400,000 to one million.

Emiru is now an essential member of the renowned content creator group, and after reaching her first significant Twitch milestone, she praised her followers for being the ones who made her goal come true. Momentum hasn’t slowed down either.

Emiru has been actively broadcasting for quite some time. She has only recently joined OTK, therefore it is still early in her tenure. If things continue in the same direction, she might surpass the top 100 streamers in terms of followers.
