Emiru Complains On Viego Developer

Emiru, did what many League of Legends players wish they could: she called Riot August personally to vent his frustrations about Viego after being deleted by the champion.

When an opponent Viego made an unwelcome appearance as Jhin, Emiru used her champion’s ultimate to lock herself down. The streamer was rendered impotent after going from full health to zero in a matter of seconds after being stun locked. Emiru rushed straight to League’s lead champion designer, Riot August, after being hit with a gray screen. 

Emiru quickly bombarded Riot August with questions on Viego’s design choices after picking up the phone. Emiru flatly stated; “So why did you make it so Viego can kill me from full health? I’m stunned the whole time. I was ulted as Jhin and he just walked up and killed me.” 

In response to this, the champion designer explained; “Well, when I was making Viego, I thought, ‘you know, one of these days, Emily is going to play against him and I want her to have a really bad time. So I made him to counter Jhin. That’s it, that’s the story actually.”

Despite having to deal with a fed Viego for the rest of the game, Emiru went on to reject Riot August’s answers, laughing off her discomfort. Though Emiru’s concerns of Viego’s champion design may have gone unheard, she spoke with the most direct means she could.
