EEVisu Admits To Cheating On OTKSchooled

Phil “EE” Visu, a Smash commentator and NRG broadcaster, apologized in a video today for cheating on the renowned OTKSchool game show on the One True King (OTK) network.

EE initially defeated Emily “ExtraEmily” Xuechun Zhang on the OTKSchooled show, in which internet personalities compete in a knowledge test with a $1,000 reward on the line, before his decision to cheat was discovered and the win was revoked. The $50,000 prize on offer in this edition of OTKSchool enticed EE to “succumb to temptation,” as he put it.

He blamed his decision to cheat on having a previous question that he answered correctly censored, as well as trying and failing to “big brain” another answer, which he said made him irritated.

While the apology came today, watchers and fans on Reddit set to work shortly after the broadcast, compiling proof that they said showed EE using his phone to seek up several answers.

The streamer only admitted to getting the answer to one math question provided to his phone when he was discovered. He subsequently submitted the answer as his own work, which led to him being declared the game show’s winner and offered the $50,000 prize.

Viewers are mixed on whether Emily will receive the money she rightfully received now that justice has been served. Some people praised EE’s honesty and sincerity, while others claimed he just apologized after he was caught. OTK founder Esfand responded to the tweet complimenting EE for “coming clean,” saying the two companies had “no hard feelings.”

EE is best recognized for his work in the Smash Bros. scene, where he and his partner Terrence “TKBreezy” Kershaw are one of the top commentary teams for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He’s also worked with Nintendo and the NBA, having begun his Smash career as a Brawl player in 2009.
