Disguised Toast Offers Take On Bringing Back OTV Minecraft Server

Following a significant update to the game, some fans asked Twitch star Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang to restart the OfflineTV Minecraft server.

The OfflineTV group has pioneered the path for streamer-based servers across a range of different games over the past few years. Even though it created a lot of chaos, they had played Rust a few times and even dabbled in Minecraft. Although Minecraft was somewhat less wild than Rust, it still had its share of mischief, and as the streamers looked for new games to play, the server eventually died. Some fans would like to see the server given a new lease on life now that the classic sandbox game has undergone a sizable makeover with the introduction of The Warden NPC. Disguised Toast is unsure about bringing it back, though.

The Twitch celebrity was doing one of his typical Q&A streams on June 27th when viewers and fellow guests LilyPichu and Michael Reeves suggested bringing back Minecraft. Toast remarked; “I think a problem with Minecraft is that it has become so content that I don’t know how to go back to treating it like Minecraft, you know. It’s been so like, oh Minecraft server it’s going to pop off, we’re going to invite this streamer and that streamer, its like ‘lets get Dream and TommyInnit on’ kind of deal, right? I need to learn to just have a regular old Minecraft server (to just play the game) and I don’t know how to capture that feeling. Even if it’s like small, people are going to be like ‘Hey can I play’ and it’s all this extra factor.”

Even while Toast isn’t totally against bringing the server back, it looks like it would be some time before he would actually want to.
