Dafran Shares How Overwatch Player Annoyed Him

Twitch streamer Dafran has recently shared one of the reasons as to why he only lasted less than a full season in the Overwatch League.

Dafran had a number of controversial moments throughout his Overwatch and streaming careers, but his time with the Atlanta Reign in the Overwatch League is one that fans remember fondly. Despite the fact that it was only for a brief time and during the famed GOATS meta, where Dafran was unable to play many of his greatest heroes, Dafran had some dominant performances on Zarya.

However, he left before Blizzard implemented role-queue and 2-2-2, thereby ending tank dominance, although one of his teammates, according to Dafran, was a major cause in his decision to leave.

Dafran was watching some of his previous gameplay and reminisced about his time in the OWL on a Twitch broadcast recently.

While watching he then shared; “One of the big reasons I left Overwatch League was f**king DACO. I’m just going to leak it, dude. DACO was a piece of sh*t. The biggest piece of sh*t in the world.”

Dafran claims he made the decision to reveal this since Dong-hyeong ‘DACO’ Seo hasn’t competed since 2020. Dafran further added; “He would never meet up on time for practice. We were doing VOD reviews, he would not come. He was making drama. He didn’t want to play if Kodak played! He would always troll in scrims and then on stage he would play good.”

While several fans compared DACO’s laid-back approach to Dafran’s, the Danish streamer dismissed the comparisons, claiming that he was always on time and practiced with the team. “I was so annoyed, dude,” he concluded, saying that if certain support players were in the lineup he outright refused to play.

It’s unusual to witness such a candid inside look at a team’s inner workings, but that was back in season 2. Since then, the Atlanta Reign have grown into one of the league’s elite teams, placing second in the season 4 playoffs.
