Clix On Verge of Getting Banned

Cody Conrod aka Clix is a professional player at the NRG Esports and he is also one of the top Fortnite streamers. Due to the DMCA issue on Twitch, he is now on the verge of getting banned from Twitch forever. Clix has received his second copyright strike. The DMCA issue has been striking Twitch streamers who are not taking actions with their VOD’s and clips with copyright music. This has caused many other streamers to delete almost all of their VOD’s from their channel in order to avoid getting banned permanently.

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Twitch has the authority to remove any copyrighted content from its platform and the streamers cannot sue the organization for it. And based on Twitch’s track record, Twitch doesn’t mind banning some of its popular streamers. The best example of this was the DrDisRecpect’s ban. Even though he was one of the biggest streamers on the planet, Twitch permanently banned DrDisRespect and the community doesn’t even know the reason behind the ban. Just a few days ago, Fortnite pro Clix received his first copyright strike because of his donation sound.

Clix has been using that donation sound for the past 2 years. The only way to solve this problem is for him to delete all of his past streams and clips that have the donation sound in it. He claimed that he did everything to do everything correctly but he recently received another copyright strike. This is a very unfortunate situation for the streamer because another strike on his channel will lead to a permanent ban. He posted out on Twitter informing his fans about the second DMCA strike he received. He posted; “2nd dmca strike, one more and i’m banned forever. I did everything they told me to legit all my vods and clips”.
