Celebrity Pokemon card opening on Twitch

The Pokémon Trading Card Game, abbreviated to PTCG or Pokémon TCG, is a collectible card game, based on Nintendo’s Pokémon franchise of video games and anime, first published in October 1996 by Media Factory in Japan. It has risen in popularity this year, 2020, after the influencer Logan Paul put a major spotlight on Pokémon trading cards this past September. Because of that, prices of the Nintendo collectibles have increased in value, the best example being former rapper Logic who spent over 226k for a 1st edition charizard. Pokemon card fever seems to have taken over sites like YouTube and Twitch.

To celebrate its popularity, Steve Aoki, a popular musician will be hosting a Pokemon TCG box opening and it will be live on the Twitch streaming platform! The Twitch event was first revealed by famous TCG collector Gary ‘King Pokemon’ who previously starred on hit reality TV show Pawn Stars. King Pokemon uploaded a poster on Instagram announcing the stream details. He posted; “Hey everybody. Here’s the promotional ad for the livestream Sunday. Let’s blast it all over the Internet”.

The said stream will feature some popular artists like Logan Paul, Rob Kardashian, Logic and many more as they open a 1999 base set booster box during a live broadcast in front of their viewers. According to the post, the live broadcast event will be a charity event that is going into the Aoki Foundation. The Pokemon card opening event will be showing on November 15th, Sunday, and it will be live on Twitch at 5PM PST / 8PM EST.
