Fortnite Pro Bugha’s Social Media Hacked Immediately After Winning World Cup

Right after winning the solo Fortnite World Cup for 3 million dollars, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf was targeted by hackers. His Twitter and Twitch account were hacked with postings and retweeting weird tweets that weren’t Bugha’s, and sending free gift subs on other Twitch channels.

The hackers began tweeting random “follow @perocet @_eclan and follow up with we in the vip lounge dropping dom p bottles live stream in 10 following 100 back in an hour.”  FaZe Clan Nate Hill tweeted that Bugha’s account just sent him 100 gifted subs and he was just one of the various Twitch users that received a free gift subs from Bugha’s hacked account.

Soon after, Bugha posted on his Instagram account, clarifying that his Twitter and Twitch accounts were hacked and the tweets sent out were in fact not his.

We can assume that the goal of the hackers was to gain more followers for themselves by hacking into Kyle Bugha’s account, since Bugha is popular and recently won the largest prize in the history of gaming.
