Asmongold Wishes

Like many MMO fans, Asmongold is excited to see what Riot Games has planned for its upcoming League of Legends MMO.

Greg Street, the executive producer of Riot Games’ MMO, asked his Twitter followers on May 1 what elements they didn’t want to see in the game. A well-known Twitch streamer, Asmongold, responded with three major desires. He doesn’t want to see character progression, systems that are purposefully broken for future content, or retrograde progression. The first item on his wish list could be related to Lost Ark, which allows for character and account progression. Asmongold streamed the game at its peak, attracting tens of thousands of people on Twitch.

Account-wide progress is utilized in the Lost Ark to speed up the advancement of secondary characters, which is vital because changing classes is impossible in the game. In World of Warcraft, however, players must restart from the beginning if they want to play a new character. The addition of account-wide progress to Riot’s MMO would simplify the leveling process and provide players with rewarded shortcuts. Another renowned Twitch streamer, Shroud, responded to Street’s tweet by claiming he didn’t want levels in the future MMO. Leveling is vital, but it should “have a purpose and move you towards a greater goal in the end game,” according to Asmongold.

It’s unclear whether any of these ideas will influence the game’s development. Players have yet to learn anything about the next MMO project, which will be revealed in 2020 alongside a slew of other Riot games. The Riot MMO’s direction and release date are still up in the air. In April, Street even stated that there was “no guarantee” that the game would ever be released.
