Asmongold Will Not Play Genshin Impact

Popular World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch, Asmongold, has recently explained the reason why he doesn’t get to play the game Genshin Impact despite recently playing a variety of games.

Twitch streamer Asmongold has risen into popularity because of his World of Warcraft gameplay. However, in the past months, Asmongold has seen to be trying out different titles on his stream including the game final fantasy xiv where he manages to pull an impressive viewers stat.

He also played the New World beta, and his viewer count has skyrocketed making him one of the most popular streamers on Twitch right now. However, there seems to be one game that he is not interested in and that is Genshin Impact.

During a recent stream of Gamescom Opening Night live, Asmongold has some choice words for Genshin Impact, admitting the game looks fun but sharing one main reason why he doesn’t play or stream it. Here’s what he said; “I would play Genshin Impact if it didn’t have all that bulls**t in it. I would, it looks like a good game.”

The “buls**t” that Asmongold refers to is likely the game’s microtransaction system that allows players to spend incredible amounts of money in-game. Asmongold has been critical of the industry practice in the past, taking particular issue with their use in games like New World. It’s worth reiterating that these past statements are not about Genshin Impact, but about the gaming industry’s reliance on microtransactions in general.
