Asmongold Speaks About Pokimane And Ninja Situation

During a broadcast yesterday, Asmongold, a popular Twitch streamer and co-owner of OTK, gave his view on the current scenario involving Pokimane, Ninja, and JiDion.

After sending hate brigades to Pokimane’s Twitch channel earlier this year, Twitch banned JiDion for harassment, which has since been extended to an indefinite period. Ninja, a fellow streamer, said that he contacted his Twitch rep in an attempt to get JiDion’s ban lifted, which Pokimane brought up on the stream. Jessica Blevins, Ninja’s manager and wife, has threatened Pokimane with legal action for defamation since then. 

In a Twitter post, Pokimane provided a screengrab of a direct message from Jessica. Asmongold weighed in on the situation after reading the post. He stated; “This is just 100 percent Ninja being wrong. It’s literally 100 percent Ninja wrong. It’s kind of crazy because Ninja even looks worse in this situation than JiDion does… I mean, JiDion isn’t like threatening ‘you made a big mistake’ and texting her and shit like this. [JiDion] is just memeing about it, which is still bad. I still think it’s shitty, but this is worse in my opinion.” 

To defend Pokimane after a viewer said she had done nothing “to improve the drama,” Asmongold said it was not her obligation to smooth things over with individuals who were complicit in her harassment. 

Despite threats of legal action, Asmongold is confident that any attempts to escalate will be futile: “It’s not going to go anywhere, it’s just drama. It doesn’t matter at all.” Asmongold said, emphasizing that viewers have only attempted to blame Pokimane because they don’t like her. 

Despite the fact that the feud between the two Twitch stars has escalated to the point where it could become legal, no formal action has been taken.
